I spent the night in Officer DeVeas’ house. For a few years he has let our post use it on our trip to Arizona for  the competition. Apparently, this year he didn’t know we were coming because he was in Iraq fighting. The caretaker of his house, another CCPD officer, gave us permission to stay there. To everyone’s surprise, DeVeas came back from Iraq right after we left his house on our way down. On our way back, we showed up with our bags and discovered he had returned. He was the friendliest I had ever seen him. Strange considering how much he used to scare everyone and that the only thing he had done since we last saw him was fight in Iraq.

    He came back with a digital camera filled with tons of pictures and short video clips. I burned a few dvds with the stuff from his camera. I also made a site for him to show people the pictures. Sorry, It’s private and password protected. I included just one picture. I Hope he doesn’t mind.
